This painting was in the Icons of the West Exhibition. The artists have been asked to create their own interpretation of a Western Icon, be it horses, cowboys, western landscapes, native American themes of the old west as well as visions of the new west. This is the first in what we hope to grow into a nationally recognized and anticipated event drawing art collectors from the region and the nation to Missoula. We wish to continue to demonstrate that we are a major presence in the art scene.

I really like the composition, the openness balanced with intricasy, and find the bird resting on an indoor jug quite believable and intriguing, like the window was left open. The green-gold-cream colors in the background are merged effectively to add interest,
Thank you Dyane. I appreciate your positive feedback on this painting. Thank you for visiting and for your patience with my late reply.
