This painting was a lot of fun to make. I used a palette knife and saved the paintbrush for the last details. I enjoyed making the interesting textures and layers that added depth to this elegant painting.

Hi Lori, I found your website on another Artists’ site and have just fallen in love with your site and all of your work and ideas. I so appreciate your willingness to share your knowledge and experience and am working on reading all you have to say. I am a “wanna be” painter. This is funny…I have bought supplies over the years (going back to the early 2000′s) for watercolor and more recently watersoluable oils. I have taken just a few classes with people who have been painting for a while, but really have not started to paint. Your site and some on youtube have given me the courage to begin. Your work is just WONDERFUL. Thanks so much again for passing all this “Wonderfullness” along.
